Minister Lindiwe Zulu of the Department of Social Development addressed the production crew at the event, DSD TV, acknowledging and commending their outstanding work. She expressed pride in having the production crew as employees of the Department of Social Development, assuring the elderly participants that the event would be streamed with professionalism and skill characteristic of DSDTv for The Golden Games of 2024.

The choirs from various provinces have commenced the event with beautiful hymns, showcasing a blend of traditional and contemporary singing styles. This harmonious experience has left an indelible mark, resonating with all who were present. 

Traditional attire has also been a notable highlight, enhancing the grandeur of the occasion and adding to the praise and admiration for the choirs. Provinces including Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape, and North West have brought together athletes, choirs, and individuals with captivating stories, enriching the event with their diverse talents and experiences.

Being part of multiple provinces uniting, setting aside their differences, and embracing the spirit of unity through The Golden Games programme has demonstrated that, ” A true friend unbosoms freely, advises justly, assists readily, adventures boldly, takes all patiently, defends courageously, and continues a friend unchangeably.”
