Siyasanga Mophethe has dedicated her life to uplifting women and restoring the dignity of those most vulnerable. Through knowledge sharing, business mentorship, skills development and financial literacy training, she equips women with the necessary resources needed to establish their own businesses within their surrounding communities. Her ultimate aspiration is to serve as a beacon of hope, inspiring, empowering, and driving meaningful change to reignite and restore the dreams of young.
Siyasanga wants to share her unique story by challenging conventional standards set for women. She wants women to celebrate themselves in beauty, resilience, and authenticity and should not conform to the world that limits women’s narrative around what it means to be a woman.
As a Civil Engineer contractor, she designed and built safe and dignified shacks for those families living in dilapidated structures, focusing on the elderly and child-headed households. More than just providing shelter, this initiative offered these families a true sense of home, security, and belonging.
She is also the founder and director of the Siyasanga Qomoyi Foundation — a purpose-driven non-profit organization established in 2019 out of a deep desire to serve vulnerable communities with love, dignity, and hope. The foundation is primarily self-funded, supported by a few dedicated volunteers and the generosity of kind-hearted donors. They serve hundreds of vulnerable children in the communities of Heidedal and Phomolong in Bloemfontein, ensuring they receive warm, nutritious meals throughout the week. For many families, especially in the harsh winter months, this daily meal is a lifeline.
The foundation has partnered with Eagle Christian Church to provide both spiritual support and access to its kitchen facilities, while St Andrew’s School has generously donated high-quality shoes for the children in their care. These contributions, though practical in nature, carry profound significance for the well-being and dignity of their beneficiaries.
Despite these efforts, the need remains substantial. Many of the children and elderly they serve continue to lack essential items such as warm clothing, bedding, and safe shelter. For this reason, the Siyasanga Qomoyi foundation’s mission extends beyond providing meals, it is rooted in the belief that true charity is about restoration. It is about restoring dignity, equipping people with the tools to succeed, and renewing their sense of self-worth.
At the heart of their mission is love. And with God’s grace, they will continue to serve, one child, one home, one family at a time.
She entered Mrs South Africa 2025, and as a semi-finalist, views the pageant not merely as a competition, but as a powerful platform and movement to redefine success and inspire women to pursue their dreams with confidence and courage.
