The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) will bring a wide range of government and social services directly to residents of Sebokeng through its Integrated Community Registration Outreach Programme (ICROP), scheduled to take place at the Saul Tsotetsi Sports Complex on 26 June 2026.
The outreach will be led by SASSA Gauteng Acting Regional Executive Manager, Mr Godfrey Mohlamonyane, and forms part of the Agency’s ongoing commitment to improving access to services for communities, particularly those who face challenges in reaching government offices.
The programme follows the successful ICROP outreach held in Soweto last week, which was led by Acting Minister of Social Development, Ms Sindisiwe Chikunga. As Youth Month commemorations continue, young people are encouraged to attend and take advantage of the various opportunities and services that will be available.
ICROP is one of SASSA’s flagship service delivery initiatives aimed at bringing government services closer to communities. By offering multiple services in one location, the programme helps reduce travel costs for residents while improving access to information, assistance and support from government departments and partner organisations.
The Sebokeng outreach also forms part of SASSA’s 20-year anniversary celebrations, marking two decades of providing social assistance and strengthening social protection for millions of vulnerable South Africans.
A number of government departments, entities and stakeholders will participate in the outreach, including the Department of Social Development, the National Development Agency, the Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Employment and Labour, the Department of Health, financial institutions and non-governmental organisations.
Residents will have an opportunity to access services, receive information on available programmes and engage directly with service providers, ensuring that support reaches communities where it is needed most.
