  • Older Persons Grants will be paid on Friday, 30 October 2026, followed by Disability Grants on Monday, 2 November and Children’s Grants on Tuesday, 3 November.
  • Beneficiaries whose grants are under review will be paid on 5 November 2026 and are urged to respond to SASSA communication and attend review appointments.
  • SASSA advises beneficiaries not to rush to offices, and to rely only on official channels for grant information.

Social grant beneficiaries will receive their November 2026 payments earlier than usual, after the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) revised its payment schedule to accommodate the upcoming Local Government Elections.

The new dates were set after extensive consultations between SASSA and various stakeholders, aimed at keeping grant payments efficient, secure and free of disruption during the election period. National Treasury has approved the revised schedule, clearing the way for its implementation.

In terms of the revised arrangements, social grants will be paid as follows:

• Older Persons Grant: Friday, 30 October 2026
• Disability Grant: Monday, 02 November 2026
• Children’s Grants: Tuesday, 03 November 202

SASSA said the change is meant to ensure the smooth administration of payments in the period around the elections, and that the Agency remains committed to paying eligible beneficiaries in an orderly and reliable way.

A separate payment day has been set aside on 5 November 2026 specifically for beneficiaries whose grants are under review. SASSA has reminded these beneficiaries to respond to any official communication from the Agency and to attend review appointments when asked to do so.

Beneficiaries are encouraged not to visit SASSA offices unnecessarily, as all payments will be processed according to the announced schedule. SASSA has also cautioned the public against misinformation and disinformation about social grants, urging beneficiaries to use only the Agency’s official communication channels for accurate information.

SASSA reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the integrity of the social assistance system, while making sure that the millions of South Africans who rely on social grants continue to have access to this vital support.
