ENGAGEMENT WITH OLDER PERSONS AND DSD FUNDED NPO OF FEZILE DABI DISTRICT

- Free State Premier Mxolisi Dukwana and Acting MEC of the Department of Social Development Thabo Meeko will meet with older persons and funded non-profit organisations (NPOs) in Fezile Dabi District to gather input and reach a consensus on issues affecting these groups.
- This event, set for 22 May 2024 at Zamdela Hall in Sasolburg, aims to enhance the care and services for older persons through a collaborative dialogue that includes NPOs representing community interests.
- The Department of Social Development values the insights of older persons, considering them crucial in celebrating 30 years of freedom and guiding the development and progress of the incoming 7th Administration.
Free State Premier, Mr Mxolisi Dukwana, and Acting MEC of the Department of Social Development, Mr Thabo Meeko, will be engaging with older persons and funded non-profit organisations (NPOs) of Fezile Dabi District at the Zamdela Hall in Sasolburg on Wednesday, 22 May 2024.
The aim of this engagement is to solicit inputs and reach a consensus on various issues directly and indirectly related to older persons and DSD-funded NPOs in the Fezile Dabi District. As part of caring for older persons in our communities, the Hon. Premier and Acting MEC will have a dialogue with older persons and NPOs representing the interests of all people in Fezile Dabi District. This will promote effective, efficient, and integrated service delivery in addressing issues affecting older persons in the Free State.
The Department of Social Development acknowledges that older persons are ideal guides as we “Celebrate 30 Years of Freedom: Building a Better Africa and a Better World.” They can judge development, and progress, and offer constructive advice to the incoming 7th Administration.
